Holly Hill Cemetery is a historic cemetery located in Prince George’s County, Maryland, just outside Washington, D.C. Established in 1869, it is the resting place of many notable figures, including Supreme Court Justice Roger Taney, author F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Civil War General George B. McClellan.
The cemetery is also known for its beautiful landscaping and architecture. The grounds feature a variety of trees, shrubs, and flowers, as well as several statues and monuments. The cemetery’s chapel, built in 1875, is a fine example of Gothic Revival architecture.
