To go along with our craft, Olivia and Cecilia read the book “Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!” by Mo Willems. In this story, a bus driver begins the book by expressing to readers the importance of not letting the pigeon drive the bus while he is gone. However, the persuasive pigeon spends the entirety of the book trying to talk us into letting him drive the bus. This book teaches us the importance of right and wrong, no matter how hard someone tries to persuade or convince us to do something, we have to stand our ground!
Kids will absolutely love the gradual steps it takes to make their school buses!
